Delete your account

Delete the account in the app

Open Sounds Useful, go to Profile, choose Delete account, then choose Delete my account now.

That runs delete_own_account for the signed-in user and removes the account from the live database, including the profile tied to it.

If you cannot open the app

Email support@soundsuseful.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will delete the live account after we confirm the request is yours.

What deletion does

Live database deletion is immediate once the request succeeds. Backups follow the database provider's schedule. We do not keep a separate copy of the account for a fixed number of days.

A store subscription, if you have one, is cancelled in the Apple or Google Play account settings. Deleting the Sounds Useful account does not by itself cancel a store billing agreement.
